Jet & Julia Newmarket, NH

About a year and a half ago I gave away a free wedding package. I asked couples to send in their love stories and I chose the couple whose story I liked the most...and may have been partially biased to because of my own love story.

Here is a bit of what Julia wrote to me, "Our story began before we were even born, our fathers have been close friends for the last 36 years. Our mothers were pregnant together three times and the last time they shared that was through giving birth to us. We grew up going on camping trips together at my family’s camp. When we were five years old Jetstar came up to me and said “Julia I love you” and I ran away crying and locked myself in the bathroom. We were young and boys had cooties at the time!"

It was years later that they would end up reconnecting and "rekindling" that puppy love romance. My husband and I met when we were barely two years and old and started dating when we were in high school. Their story brought back so many memories of my own with my husband. It was hard for me to choose anyone else.

Their wedding day was so special. I've known Jet's family for a long time, but it had been quite a few years since I had seen him or any of his family. It was great to be there and to be like one of the family.

Here are some of my favorite parts of the wedding:

  1. The arbor! I love when there's something unique at a wedding and their gorgeous hexagon arbor was beautiful. It was an amazing backdrop to their already beautiful venue spot.

  2. The bundt cakes. I have found that cake can be a hit or miss at a wedding, but these little mini bundt cakes were so moist and so different for a wedding. I absolutely loved them, especially the blueberry flavor!

  3. Jet's dance with his sister. There's a lot of history here, but their dance was very emotional for pretty much everyone. His sister has loved him and her family so well through loss and beyond. It was such a beautiful thing to witness.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the last thing Julia wrote when she was telling me her love story. This is how I'll end...

"I don’t always know what the future holds but I pray I never have to go a day without him by my side."

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Archer!
