Dennis & Kaylyn New Durham, NH

Man, COVID sucks. I know we've all been trying to make the best of a bad situation, but I think we can agree that COVID basically just sucks. This couple decided to have a micro-wedding, which I'm pretty sure wasn't a term until COVID. They had been planning on a big wedding and instead opted for something that took COVID out of the equation. And boy am I glad they did! Their day was perfect.

I do a lot of big weddings, which I love. However, I don't get to see a lot of small, intimate venues like I did for this wedding. The view itself was spectacular, but the venue itself felt like something out of a dream! Dennis and Kaylyn kept it simple with just a few of their family members and their two dogs at this great little NH Bed & Breakfast. With a beautiful autumn backdrop they said "I do" and began their lives together as husband and wife.

Here were a few of my favorite things from their wedding day:

  1. Their venue! If you couldn't tell already, I kind of fell in love with this venue. They owners were so hospitable and wonderful to work with. Tatiana made delicious charcuterie boards that were not only delicious but BEAUTIFUL to look at. Like I said earlier, the view is spectacular! It really is a beautiful space to just sit and breathe. The decor and updated B&B took me back to some time I spent in Tuscany a few years back. It really is a little bit of Italy in the middle of NH.

  2. The shoes! I am always a fan of a beautiful high heeled shoes or a strappy pump for a wedding day, but I am also a big fan of something a bit more practical. Kaylyn's shoes were perfect for a backyard wedding, and especially for photos on the dirt road. You may want something fancier for your wedding day, but a good pair of sparkly sneakers is great for the rest of the day.

  3. The family. With it being such a small wedding I was able to sit, eat, and sip some wine with the whole family during the reception. It felt like I was one of the family.

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Harris!
